WORKSHOP: Design Your Martian Spacesuit

Through this fast-paced hands-on session, participants will become engineers, astronauts, and a docking team as Gateway is brought to life during this session. Not only will you be immersed in three hands-on activities but will learn the real-life science behind the mission from a Gateway Program Office guest speaker.

WORKSHOP: Space Dinosaur, the first toy crafted in space for an Earthling
Millennium Stage
11:30 a.m.–12:45 p.m.

While living on the International Space Station for 6 months in 2013, astronaut Karen Nyberg missed her 3-year-old son, Jack, who was crazy about dinosaurs. She wanted to bring him a special gift from space so she stitched together a toy dino from the felt lining of the Russian cosmonauts' food containers and stuffed it with one of her t-shirts from the ISS. In this workshop, learn how to make your own Space Dinosaur from recycled materials!
