Catalyst Quartet makes its exciting Kennedy Center debut. Founded by the Sphinx Organization in 2010, the ensemble has been praised for its “perfect ensemble unity” and “unequaled class of execution” (Lincoln Journal Star). Building its programs and projects around a belief in the unifying power of music, the group acts as a catalyst—redefining and reimagining the classical music experience. The ensemble brings this mission and compelling new music to the relaxed lounge setting of the Club at Studio K.

A NOTE FROM ARTISTIC DIRECTOR JENNIFER KOH
Catalyst Quartet is an excellent group; I met some of the members back in 2013 during the first Two x Four performance with Curtis Orchestra. What I find most intriguing about the Catalyst Quartet is its presentations of new music that engage with society today. I’m confident that their talents and program will be a wonderful complement to the atmosphere of the Club at Studio K.
