The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts teams up with Washington National Opera to honor the legacy of groundbreaking African American contralto Marian Anderson by conferring the Marian Anderson Award upon a rising American singer each year. This virtual recital and dialogue unites two of the most celebrated winners: mezzo-soprano Denyce Graves (1991) and Lawrence Brownlee (2006). Arts Across America is brought to you by Facebook.
Presented as part of Arts Across America—a live performance series presented Mondays through Fridays to uplift & showcase artists from across the country. Learn more at http://kennedy-center.org/ArtsAcrossAmerica
