Enhancing instruction with performing, visual and language arts can build skills, confidence, and understanding for English Language Learners.
In this K-2 lesson, students will construct patterns using visual arts designs and math manipulatives. They will identify patterns existing in the natural and man-made world, art, math, and science.

Additional Materials
Teachers should be familiar with basic concepts of rhythm and AB pattern structure.
Students should know basic shape vocabulary and mathematical concepts, such as pattern and repetition.
Adapt math materials as needed and allow extra time.
