In Your Face: Portrait Photography
A portrait is an image, usually of a person. A portrait tells the viewer a story about the person in the image by the choices the portrait’s creator makes. In this media activity, we’ll explore the impact of those choices, focusing on the subject, setting, and story of your portrait.
Pass It On: How Do Artists Inspire Each Other?
Can a dancer inspire a musician? And a musician inspire a visual artist? And a visual artist inspire a dancer? Explore how the artistic process can work through inspiration, creativity, and execution. Then watch and listen as a dancer, musician, and visual artist show you how their art forms share elements like big and small, fast and slow, and how you can take inspiration from and inspire other artists.
JFK Poetry & Pennants
Explore the words and ideals of President John F. Kennedy through poetry and visual art. This activity will guide you through using blackout poetry to help you create an original poem, then selecting the words and designing your own pennant that displays and celebrates your ideals!
