Levi Taylor
A twice Emmy®-nominated composer and recognized Kennedy Center artist, Levi Taylor has earned honors as a Jonas Gwangwa Fellow with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and a Civitella Ranieri Fellow. His works, lauded for their breadth and sensitivity, have enriched audiences at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society, including the touring piece “Daydreaming” with the Sphinx Virtuosi and its forthcoming orchestral premiere at Detroit’s Orchestra Hall. Equally skilled in the realm of film and television, his music has enhanced programming for the Discovery Channel’s Shark Week, the documentary “Me The Other,” and the short film “Sundown” by Compelling Pictures, known for “Bohemian Rhapsody” and “The Theory of Everything.” Committed to fostering creativity and mentorship, Levi has contributed to the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation’s arts initiatives, served on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters, and established a free piano program for youth. A graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy and Millikin University, he embodies a vision where artistic excellence and community engagement flourish in concert.
