Stephani Stang-Ferry Assistant Principal

Stephani Stang-Ferry, Assistant Principal Flutist, has also held the position of Principal Flutist with the Filene Center Orchestra, Wolf Trap Opera Orchestra, National Theatre Orchestra, National Gallery of Art Orchestra and Chamber Players, Concert Artists of Baltimore, National Chamber Orchestra, and Alexandria Symphony Orchestra.  Stephani received degrees from Catholic University and New England Conservatory of Music, and was a Boston Symphony Fellow at the Tanglewood Music Center.  She teaches flute at George Washington University, and previously served on the music faculties of both Howard and Catholic Universities. A native of Alexandria, Virginia, she is a proud second-generation member of the American Federation of Musicians. Stephani is married to trumpeter Dennis Ferry, former Principal Trumpet of Orchestre de la Suisse Romande in Geneva, Switzerland.
