Washington DC-based Kalanidhi Dance Company presents exquisitely conceptualized dance performances in the classical Indian dance style of Kuchipudi. Born out of the vision of founder and artistic director, Anuradha Nehru, Kalanidhi Dance Company has earned a reputation for technical refinement, artistic expression, and multi-layered choreography that stretches the boundaries of Indian classical dance.

Kalanidhi Dance explores creative and contemporary ideas using the vocabulary of Kuchipudi while retaining the essence and integrity of the classical form.

Described as the ‘exquisite Kalanidhi dance troupe….with a rare amalgam of prime dance virtues’ by the New York Times review of Kalanidhi’s collaboration with La Fayette Opera at the Kennedy center in Washington D.C. and the Lincoln Center in New York, Kalanidhi dance company continues to promote dialogue in the arts through such collaborations.

Kalanidhi’s work is recognized and funded by the Maryland State Arts Council and the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County.
