Miquitzli Herrera (she/her) is a current student at University of California- Riverside (UCR) majoring in Sociology with an emphasis in Education. Miquitzli is an active member of Sigma Kappa Sorority; UCR Mentor Collective; and the UCR Transfer-Nontraditional Committee. Miquitzli has been involved in her community for years by volunteering on political campaigns for statewide ballot measures, School Board and assembly member elections. She is a lifelong organizer and currently serves as a Lead Organizer with the Our Turn, Los Angeles Coalition and is deeply passionate about advocating for a systemic shift in an education system that provides authentic support in student’s experiences.
