Angella Foster
Angella Foster is a dancer, choreographer, teacher, and costume designeR&Based in Greenbelt, Maryland. She began her classical ballet training at the Kentucky Repertory Dance Theatre under the direction of Sue Champion. Upon completion of heR&B.A. in dance performance and choreography from Hope College in Holland, Michigan, she was accepted to the Professional Training Program at the Merce Cunningham Dance Studio in New York City. Foster has since performed the works of numerous choreographers including Steven Iannacone, Randall Flinn, Steve Rooks, Clay Taliaferro, Ed Tyler, Joe Poulson, and Colleen Thomas. She has also danced with the Ad Deum Dance Company in Houston, Texas, and she is a regular guest choreographer for Refuge Dance Company in Atlanta. Her choreography has been performed in New York City, Washington, D.C., Houston, Atlanta, and Moscow, Russia. She recently received her Master of Fine Arts in Dance Choreography at the University of Maryland-College Park where she was awarded a Graduate Teaching Assistantship and the Smith Award.
