Sarah J, Ewing
Sarah J. Ewing is an Australian dancer and choreographer who currently works at CityDance in Maryland. She presented her first original work at the age of 16 at the Melbourne Concert Hall, Australia. She then went on to train at the New Zealand School of Dance, Marie Walton Mahon Dance Academy and West Australian Academy of Performing Arts. Ms. Ewing has presented work at Eureka Dance Festival (D.C.), Green Space (NYC), Boston contemporary Dance Festival (M.A.), White Wave Dance Festival (NYC), Your Move JC (N.J.), and in Houston, Texas, for the Dance Gallery Festival. She also participated in NYC LCA Women in Dance Project, presenting a new duet at the Ailey Citigroup Theater in December, 2012. As a collaborator in the 2013 Source Festival Artistic Blind Date Series, She was a performer and choreographer in the multi-media performance piece, FILTER. Ms. Ewing received a 2013 Dance Metro DC Dance Connect Commission, enabling her to create a new work to be presented at the Atlas Theater (D.C.) in March. She is a recipient of the Kennedy Center 2013 Local Dance Commissioning Project.
