The Stories That Bind Us is a work inspired by families tackling the question, what makes families prevail and what is the underlying story that connects us all? A popular tradition in families is the idea of storytelling; for most it's what keeps our family stories alive. This work will encourage audiences to look inward and reflect. What does family mean to you? How have challenges shaped your family story? What is the strength of your family? Chandini Darby is a local performer, chorographer, and dance educator and is founder of The Beauty for Ashes Project, a project which seeks to focus on telling some of our most broken stories and beautifying th on stage, giving all people's stories legitimacy through performance art.
