Andrei Caval

Clarinetist Andrei Caval was born in Bucharest, Romania, and he is currently pursuing his Artist Diploma at The Juilliard School, studying with Professor Charles Neidich. Andrei has performed extensively both as a soloist and as an orchestral player throughout Europe and the United States. As an orchestral musician he performed with ensembles such as the BBC Symphony Orchestra or Royal Concertgebouw. In 2017, Andrei was the principal clarinetist of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain with which he performed at the BBC Proms in London and Berlioz Festival in France. Andrei has made recitals appearances in places such as St. James Piccadilly in London, Stoller Hall in Manchester or Paul Recital Hall in New York City. In 2020,  while he was pursuing his Bachelor of Music at the Royal College of Music in London, Andrei won the Clarinet Prize in the RCM’s Solo Woodwind Competition.

In addition to his activities as a performer, Andrei has been teaching clarinet lessons for over eight years. Andrei has experience in teaching students of all ages and levels and he sustained several workshops in primary schools around United Kingdom. He teaches both in-person and online and has students from all around the world.
