Mokhless Al-Hariri

Mokhless Al‐Hariri is the Founder, Creative Director, and President of The Georgetown Design Group, Inc., a diversified company that nurtures design excellence, cultural diversity, and encourages innovation. Born in Aleppo, Syria, he grew up in Paris, France, is a long time Washington DC resident. He holds a Ph.D. in architecture and urban planning from the École Nationale Superieure des Beaux Arts in Paris, France. He is an alumnus of the Institut d’Études Politiques in Paris and pursued post‐graduate Urban Management studies at The George Washington University, Washington, DC. He is known for pushing creative and artistic boundaries. His diversified artistic portfolio includes architectural projects as well as documentary films, stage productions, art exhibits, and multimedia productions. He is also a talented artist whose paintings are held in private collections and photographic work was exhibited at the Corcoran Gallery and held at the Library of Congress. His commitment to cross cultural dialogue brought him to serve as Advisor to the Aga Khan Award for Architecture, Cultural Advisor of the League of Arab States in the U.S., Vice‐Chairman of the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts, Vice‐President of the French American Cultural Foundation, and cross‐cultural advisor to other organizations. Mokhless Al‐Hariri's published work includes articles, photo essays, and three books on the cultural heritage of the Arabian Peninsula. His next book, Washington Sentinels, is due to be published in 2025.
